Tata Steel Projects 'Business Excellence Awards 2013'

Congratulations to all nominees, runners up and award winners at the Tata Steel Projects 'Business Excellence Awards 2013'.  It was an honour to be invited to participate as an external judge, and a great pleasure to meet such talented, committed and innovative employees during the judging process.  Move over 'Britain's Got Talent' because I can most definitely confirm that 'Tata Steel Projects has Got Talent' too....................!

The British Council appoints Asha Sharma as Interim Assistant Legal Adviser

Bringing a wealth of international corporate and commercial exerience with her, we are delighted to announce that Asha Sharma will be joining the British Council as Interim Assistant Legal Adviser on 8th May 2013.  Most recently, Asha was employed as Senior Corporate Commercial Lawyer with the BBC and is used to working for institutions that provide a service to millions globally; she is looking forward to untilising her transferable skills in an organisation that plays a crucial role in developing mutual understanding between people, societies and countries.  Asha will be a fantastic asset to the British Council and we know that she will be a great success in the role.  We send our congratulations to Asha!

 
British Council welcomes Sara Pierson as its new Head of English for Education Systems

On February 18th Sara Pierson will become the new Head of English for Education Systems at the British Council and we send her our congratulations on this fantastic appointment.  Sara is a senior manager with extensive experience of initiating and developing complex, multi-stakeholder education partnerships and projects with a deep knowledge and understanding of the trans-national eduaction market and the challenges and issues in delivering education internationally.

Having had an illustrious career at the Open University, we know that Sara will be a significant asset to the British Council and we look forward to hearing of her successes and achievements.
