St Pierre have an international supplier and customer base. Our successful business model has all manufacturing outsourced to our bakery partners.

The Role - Overall Purpose & Key Responsibilities

  • Lead NPD / EPD through the St Pierre launch process
  • Create and manage the critical path
  • Organise project meetings, ensuring outcomes are communicated to the team
  • Validate shelf life and report micro / organoleptic findings
  • Write detailed Quality Attribute Specs for new products
  • Attend / approve first production
  • Successfully handover launched products to Q&C team
  • Guide our bakery partners in developing market leading products
  • Evaluate and critique new product concepts
  • Review / panel competitor launches
  • Build strong working relationships with all internal departments and bakeries
  • Create new recipes ideas for brand managers / social team

The Candidate - Essential Skills & Experience

You'll most likely be a real 'foodie'; degree qualified and / or with equivalent experience, now looking for a fresh challenge.  Your background might be from a manufacturer, or perhaps from a retailer where you will bring customer insight, or you might be big on brand.  Our manufacturing is outsourced and so stakeholder management will be key.

  • Food sector experience in NPD / project management is essential
  • Understanding of the bakery sector is an advantage
  • Experience in carrying out product evaluation and critique
  • Good report writing and presentation skills
  • Well organised with good attention to detail
  • The ability to work across several projects and meet tight deadlines
  • Passion for food
  • Flexibility and interest to travel
